Bahlil Assures 3-Kg LPG Prices Will Not Rise Amid Global Energy Turmoil

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia assured that the price of subsidized 3-kilogram LPG will not increase despite rising global energy prices.

He emphasized that the government remains committed to maintaining the stability of subsidized goods to protect the public’s purchasing power.

In addition to stable prices, Bahlil also noted that current stocks of 3-kilogram LPG are above the national minimum threshold.

Therefore, the public is urged not to worry about supply availability.

According to him, the national supply situation remains safe and under control.

He explained that the government can only regulate the prices of subsidized energy products such as 3-kilogram LPG, Pertalite, and Biosolar.

Meanwhile, non-subsidized products like Bright Gas, Pertamax Turbo, and Dexlite follow market prices.

Bahlil also emphasized that the official price of 3-kilogram LPG has not been raised since 2007.

If there are price hikes in the field, he said, this is due to price manipulation at the distribution or retail level.

Therefore, the government is now focusing on reorganizing the distribution system to ensure subsidies reach the intended recipients.

This measure is expected to maintain price stability while ensuring that eligible citizens truly benefit from the subsidies.
