The Indonesia Stock Exchange reported that stock trading for the period from April 13 to 17, 2026, ended on a positive note.
The Composite Stock Price Index rose 2.35 percent and closed at 7,634.004, up from the previous week’s level of 7,458.496.
The sharpest increase was seen in the average daily trading volume, which surged by 33.12 percent.
Daily trading volume reached 42.98 billion shares, compared to 32.28 billion shares the previous week.
Daily trading frequency also rose by 32.71 percent to 2.72 million transactions.
The average daily transaction value also rose by 17.56 percent to Rp20.36 trillion from the previous Rp17.32 trillion.
The market capitalization of the Indonesia Stock Exchange increased by 3.38 percent to Rp13,635 trillion from Rp13,189 trillion.
Despite the market’s strength, foreign investors still recorded a net sell of Rp931.61 billion on Friday.
Cumulatively throughout 2026, foreign investors’ net selling reached Rp39.86 trillion.
Meanwhile, the rupiah closed 50 points weaker at Rp17,188 per U.S. dollar in the same trading session.
The weakening occurred amid easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and as the market awaited potential talks between the United States and Iran.
