Prabowo's Diplomacy Attracts Rp2.43 Trillion in Investment and Strengthens Indonesia's Position on the Global Stage

President Prabowo Subianto is credited with achieving a number of significant milestones through the foreign diplomacy pursued during his administration.

One of the most notable outcomes is the influx of foreign investment commitments totaling approximately Rp2,430 trillion from various strategic partner countries of Indonesia.

These investments are aimed at supporting the development of national priority sectors, including industrial downstreaming, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and technology—sectors deemed to play a crucial role in driving long-term economic growth.

In addition to attracting investment, Indonesia’s diplomacy has also contributed to strengthening economic cooperation through various business agreements, expanding export market access, and enhancing partnerships in trade and industry.

The government believes these steps can create new economic opportunities, enhance national competitiveness, and open up more job opportunities for the public.

At the international level, Indonesia’s position is also considered to have grown stronger following its full membership in BRICS.

This membership opens broader opportunities for Indonesia to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, and development financing, as well as to expand its role in discussing global economic issues alongside other developing nations.

The government also continues to promote the downstream processing agenda as a key strategy to increase the value added of natural resources and strengthen the national industrial structure.

A number of new downstream projects involving significant investment have been launched across various sectors—ranging from minerals and energy to agriculture—to reduce dependence on raw material exports.

Overall, these diplomatic achievements demonstrate Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation, boost investment, expand economic opportunities, and support sustainable national development.
