The 2026 Indonesia Open is a Super 1000-level badminton tournament in the 2026 BWF World Tour series, held June 2–7, 2026, at Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta.
This tournament marks the 43rd edition of the Indonesia Open and offers a total prize pool of US$1.45 million for participants from various countries.
The event is organized by PBSI under the supervision of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and marks the 14th tournament on the 2026 BWF World Tour calendar.
In the men’s singles category, some of the world’s top-ranked players competing include Shi Yuqi, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Anders Antonsen, and Jonatan Christie.
Meanwhile, in the women’s singles category, names such as An Se-young, Wang Zhiyi, and Putri Kusuma Wardani are among the top seeds in the tournament.
In the men’s doubles category, the top-seeded pairs include Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and the Malaysian duo Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.
Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles category, the Indonesian pair Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Pasaribu is also one of the pairs in the spotlight.
The Indonesia Open itself has been known as one of the most prestigious badminton tournaments in the world since it was first held in 1982.
Since 2018, the tournament has officially held Super 1000 status, which is the highest level in the BWF World Tour series.
For the 2026 edition, the tournament’s main sponsor has changed to Polytron, so the event is officially named the Polytron Indonesia Open 2026.
