Kopi TIMES Launches Educational Comic “My Great Indonesia” at National Education Day 2026

TIMES Indonesia’s Kopi TIMES platform has launched an educational comic series titled “Indonesia Ku Hebat” to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026.

This program is part of a digital literacy initiative aimed at conveying educational issues and ideas in a way that is more engaging, modern, and easily understood by the younger generation.

Kopi TIMES Manager Hainnorahman explained that the comic format was chosen because it simplifies complex educational concepts without losing their core meaning.

According to him, literacy in the digital age no longer relies solely on lengthy texts but also on how educational messages are packaged in visual forms relevant to the times.

The launch of this comic series also serves as a response to changes in how the digital community consumes information, particularly among the younger generation.

Based on the 2025 digital literacy study, public interest in visual content such as comics and webtoons is reported to have increased significantly, particularly among Generation Z and millennials.

The “Indonesia Ku Hebat” comic addresses various important themes in national education, ranging from Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn), equitable education, strengthening student character, to the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision.

All these themes are presented in the form of visual stories aimed at fostering readers’ imagination while also building their critical awareness regarding educational issues.

At its initial launch, the comic is priced at around Rp99,000 per series.

Buyers will receive a physical or digital copy, access to the exclusive Kopi TIMES Members community, and the opportunity to submit opinion pieces to the Kopi TIMES platform.

The program is also part of TIMES Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen a culture of literacy and positive journalism in Indonesia’s digital space.
