Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa revealed that he had met with 18 major investors in the United States, including Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments.
The meetings were held to explain Indonesia’s economic conditions and the government’s fiscal policy direction.
According to Purbaya, the investors initially wanted to know how Indonesia was able to maintain economic growth while upholding fiscal discipline.
He then outlined the government’s strategy to promote economic expansion without compromising fiscal prudence.
Following this explanation, the investors reportedly responded positively and began to understand Indonesia’s economic approach, which is considered distinct from that of many other countries.
This signals that global investors’ confidence in the nation’s economic fundamentals remains intact.
