President Prabowo Subianto and President Emmanuel Macron held a bilateral meeting that resulted in a number of strategic cooperation agreements between Indonesia and France.
The cooperation covers various key sectors, ranging from defense, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), the economy, and investment to education and research.
In the defense sector, the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing military collaboration and the development of the defense industry as part of strengthening their long-term strategic relationship.
Additionally, Indonesia and France have agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of digital transformation and AI technology development to support innovation, productivity, and future economic growth.
The bilateral meeting also discussed new investment opportunities, the strengthening of trade relations, and the enhancement of education and research cooperation to support human resource development in both countries.
President Prabowo emphasized that the partnership with France plays a crucial role in supporting national modernization, strengthening national resilience, and mastering advanced technologies.
Meanwhile, President Emmanuel Macron expressed France’s commitment to continuing as a strategic partner of Indonesia, particularly in strengthening stability and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
Both leaders also noted that Indonesia–France relations continue to develop positively and hold great potential for expansion across various strategic sectors in the future.
